Doing things for yourself and to fulfil your passions and bring you joy and happiness are tough in a society where this is often called “selfish” and “guilty pleasures” and “a waste of time”. Good on you for pushing through!
I’ve been compiling a monthly photo emag for 5 years and it’s been such a joy. Sometimes I’m late due to life, but no one complains. Everyone says they enjoy it whenever it arrives. So don’t kill yourself for a deadline, get it out in your time. I’m sure everyone will love it when it arrives. ❤️🌻
I needed to hear this more than you know! Just yesterday, my husband told me "I like the person you have become because of the joy this magazine had brough". In moments I stress over deadlines, I'll carry your words with me.
Oooh my god Ana-Maria. I cackled when I read this because it is so eerily and synchronistically on point, it’s crazy! I also encountered so many snags and delays on my own creative project (the dress I’m sewing), it’s nuts. So, you are not alone there.
And one of the biggest self-blocks I encountered was precisely the same: fighting this sense that things done “for me” were luxurious, wasteful, and unearned.
The depths you’re alchemizing here are so much more resonant and universal than one can ever know.💗
A most heartfelt congrats for Earthborn, and to the profound inner process that brought it to life. 🌍☀️🌹
Your dress! I have not forgotten about your project 😘. I can't wait to see the finished product! Thank you again for your beautiful poem inside Earthborn!💃
This, in my opinion, is the single most significant piece you've written thus far. It takes courage to remove the veil, to be open and vulnerable, to risk the criticism and judgment. I applaud you for persevering, for seeing it through, for standing in the face of fear and shouting, "No! Not this time." You are amazing. Good job! Oh, and thank you.
