We welcome stories, images, and ideas that stretch perspective and ignite possibility. Maybe you’re a writer tracing the shape of transformation. Maybe you’re a photographer capturing how light hits the earth after a storm. Maybe you’re an artisan or maker using your craft to heal, sustain, or shift the status quo.
If your work helps others remember what it means to be human, we want to hear from you.
We prefer finished pieces, but if you have an idea that feels alive, send your thoughts. We’re open to the conversation.
Earthborn publishes digital magazines and we are looking into print as well. Through Substack, we also publish essays and articles online, in an effort to reach a wider audience. When you submit your work, please let us know in which medium you are interested in being featured.
Topics and Themes we are Passionate About
Culture, Power & Systems Change
We explore how society organizes itself differently. We publish work that explores power, culture, and governance through matriarchal intelligence, relational, ethical, and rooted in responsibility to the whole.
Psychology, Consciousness & the Inner Shift
Who do we need to become to create a new society rooted in relational living and reciprocity? We publish embodied, honest explorations of the psychological and nervous-system shifts required to live differently in these times.
Food, Land & Nourishment
We publish work that explores food activism and food sovereignty.
Sustainable & Regenerative Living
We feature grounded, lived explorations of regenerative ways of living that restore relationship with land, resources, and each other.
Art, Story & World-Making
We publish creative work that expands perception and allows us to imagine new ways of being human together. Stories. Myths. Fiction. Art. Photography. Visual Storytelling. How else can we stir what’s inside our soul?
Ritual, Embodiment & Lived Practice
We shouldn’t have a favourite feature, but this one would be it. We feature individuals and organizations in the trenches carving new paths forward, challenging us to think differently, and bidding us to get involved in creating the bright future we envision.

We are looking to publish all type os styles in each issue or online:
Essays & Personal Stories
Real, embodied reflections on transformation, creativity, or consciousness. We don’t care if you are “healed”. We want to hear about your experience even if you are in the raw and messy middle. (4-6 pages).
Poetry
Mythic, raw, intimate writing that opens the heart and expands the mind. (1 page)
Interviews & Profiles
We want to interview you. We are lookig for conversations with those reshaping our world. Interviews can be for our magazine or recorded for an upcoming podcast episode. (4-6 pages)
Photo Essays & Art Features
For the photographer and artist in you we are looking for visual stories that speak beyond words. Photographs, journal collages, nature journaling, art journaling … we want to showcase your unique flavour of expression. (2 – 4 pages)
Rituals & Practices
These are the grounded ways to live and breathe what you teach. What help you stay present? A ritual. A recipe. An adventure? (2 – 4 pages)
Your Quote
If you have a short quote to offer based on your experience on the current theme we are exploring we’d love to have your words. (10 to 100 words).
THEMES
Each digital and print issue explores a guiding theme (our current one: Initiation)
We also accept broader pieces that expand consciousness, challenge norms, and offer new ways of seeing and showing up in the world.
If your work is perspective-widening, real, and rooted in the spirit of helping humanity, it belongs here.
If you have something to share and it does not “fit” neatly in a theme, don’t sweat it. The theme is a guidepost and know that we always have a place for your voice on our online publication.

Compensation & Reciprocity
Earthborn is operating on the simple belief of community reciprocity. There are no submission fees. Your work is welcomed freely. If your piece is selected for publication, you will receive:

A link to your website in the digital publication, in the blog and on social media.
Your article is shared with our email list, our blog and on Pinterest.
Your work will be featured across print, web, and social platforms.
We encourage mutual amplification. B sharing your feature, you grow your audience as we grow ours.
Should you desire it, and it is a good fit, we can talk about the possibility of a page spread to promote your work (this is only available as we grow and will be a future paid feature).
You retain full rights to your work. By contributing, you grant Earthborn permission to publish and promote your piece in print, online, and across our social platforms.
